Michael Jevon Demps is a Interdisciplinary Artist/ Musician whose contemporary practice explores notions of sociocultural identity construction and indeterminacy through the acts of making and performing.

"As We Dance," is a poetic documentary, set in Detroit, mapping the lines connecting his grandfather (the autoplant worker,) his father (the Motown singer), himself (as artist/musician,) and their relationship to labor, privilege, and the performance of identity.
